MELD
MELD (merging) is an international pilot project that seeks to discover and promote the diversity of smaller local communities, give visibility to their inherent creative potential and encourage transnational exchange and mobility of cultural actors, as well as intercultural dialogue and international cooperation. The creative process and its various activities develop in four stages:
- M – artists’ mobility
- E – education in the fields of somatic and vertical body movement
- L – local community outreach programs
- D – dance creation
MELD 2023 presents a series of programs related to the preparation, organization and holding of experimental rehearsals as part of the Artistic Residency for professional choreographers and dancers of contemporary and vertical dance from abroad with the aim of a transnational process of joint creation, connection, research and learning. The main venue for holding the first programs is the city of Zadar with aim to prepare and explore unusual locations of Providur and Rector’s Palace within the "Moving Bodies – exhibition of live human movement" project produced by Histeria Nova in collaboration with the Zadar National Museum and Yskynna Vertical Theater from Great Britain.
